Makes 25 bite sized


  • 100g butter
  • 50g dark chocolate 70% cocoa
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 5g Sweet ’N Low Stevia for chefs
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 3tbsp milk
  • 100g plain flour
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 50g walnuts or pecans, chopped. Optional


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. Grease and line a 20 x20cm square tin.
  2. Gently melt the butter and chocolate in a medium sized pan.
  3. Remove from the heat and mix in the sugar, Sweet ’N Low Stevia for chefs and milk until well combined.
  4. Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder together then stir into the chocolate mixture. Add the nuts if using.
  5. Pour into the tin and bake for 12-14 minutes or until risen but still slightly soft in the centre. Do not overbake.
  6. Allow to cool in the tray before cutting into small squares.


Delicious served with a dollop of crème fraiche or natural yoghurt, sweetened with a little Sweet ’N Low Stevia for chefs.


1tsp of Sweet ’N Low Stevia for chefs to replaces 50g caster sugar
